Sydney Youth Wind Symphony

Sydney Wind Symphony is delighted to announce that Sydney Youth Wind Symphony will be commencing rehearsals on Wednesday 1 February 2012.

Sydney Youth Wind Symphony aims to provide an environment where students, whether aspiring to a career in music or simply playing for the sheer fun of it, will be exposed to a wide variety of musical genres; from the classics and popular music through to modern new works for wind ensemble. Students will be guided by professionals to produce music of the highest quality and indeed reach the level of excellence that they aspire to.

The band's activities will include weekly rehearsals on Wednesday afternoons at Club Willoughby, a weekend camp in early March and a series of concerts held at regular intervals throughout the year. The ensemble may also choose to participate in contests or festivals or even undertake a concert tour.
